On June 22, 2009, the committee sent a recommendation letter to the Salt Lake Valley Region Administration regarding youth being placed into foster care due to delinquency issues.

 

As part of its efforts to improve child welfare services in Utah, this committee sent a Happy Valentine's gift to each staff member of Child and Family Services in the Salt Lake Valley Region in February 2009.

 

The Salt Lake Valley Region Quality Improvement Committee sent a recommendation letter to Child and Family Services administration dated July 18, 2008, concerning Tooele and the number of children who enter care with substance abuse as a contributing factor. The response letter from Child and Family Services was sent to the Salt Lake Valley Region Quality Improvement Committee on August 18, 2008.

 

On May 8, 2008, The Salt Lake Valley Region Quality Improvement Committee sent a letter to Child and Family Services administration making suggestions around employee retention. Because this letter recommends instituting a career ladder system for caseworkers, no response is due from Child and Family Services administration.
